    Since opening our doors in 1983, Pappardella has been a beloved neighborhood Italian restaurant in the heart of Manhattan's Upper West Side. For more than four decades, we've welcomed generations of New Yorkers, families, friends, and visitors who come together over great food, warm hospitality, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal.

    Inspired by the culinary traditions of Tuscany and the diverse flavors of Italy, our kitchen celebrates timeless Italian classics alongside seasonal creations. From our house-made fresh pastas and signature Pinwheel Lasagna to artisanal pizzas and classic and contemporary interpretations of Parmigiana, our menu brings together familiar favorites and thoughtful new dishes. A dedicated gluten-free menu offers a wide selection of dishes for guests with celiac disease and gluten sensitivities.

    Just steps from Central Park, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Beacon Theatre, Pappardella is a gathering place for business lunches, weekend brunches, pre-theater dinners, family celebrations, and romantic evenings. Our welcoming dining room and outdoor terrace offer a little taste of Italy in the middle of New York City.

    Over the years, Pappardella has become part of many families' traditions, from casual Sunday dinners and birthdays to graduations and holiday gatherings, including Thanksgiving. We continue to welcome longtime regulars alongside new generations of guests, staying true to what has always defined Pappardella: good Italian food, attentive service, and genuine hospitality.

    Gluten Free Options

    Pappardella is happy to provide our guests with a separate glutenfree menu, to enjoy a diverse selection of pasta, pizza, sandwiches and all kinds of other dishes that gluten-intolerant guests otherwise would not be able to order. What started as a service for our neighbor regulars has grown since into an integrated part of our menu. Our staff is trained and diligent in providing a gluten-free meal as best as possible in a kitchen that cooks both gluten and gluten-free food.

    Outdoor Terrace

    A beautiful outdoor terrace makes for great people-watching in the warmer months. We are conveniently located near the Beacon Theater, the Museum of Natural History and one block from Central Park. We feature weekend brunch, lunch and dinner prix fixe menus and a busy happy hour.
